This June 27, 2009 we rode to Monmouth, N.J. to see a reenactment of the battle of Monmouth.
The Battle of Monmouth was fought on June 28, 1778. The Continental Army commanded by George Washington attacked the rear of the British Army commanded by Henry Clinton as they left Monmouth Court House. After a lengthy battle Washington drove the British from the field. The battle showed that the continental arm was becoming more effective after 6 months of constant training at valley Forge. This was a very important battle in the American Revolution.
After the battle I gave an interview to the N.J. Star ledger. See a video about the reenactment and my interview on the battle of Monmouth at this link; http://videos.nj.com/star-ledger/2009/06/thousands_attend_reenactment_a.html
